1989 Lincoln Town Car Stretch
Sorry..this car is no longer in service.
This Classic Lincoln Town Car started life in the Wixom, Michigan Lincoln manufacturing plant in March 1989, and subsequently delivered to the New Jersey area. The first owner ordered the vehicle customized by a New Jersey coachworks, stretching the vehicle by 74", and adding features that he had found lacking in other limousines. For example, the rear passenger doors were widened by six inches to make entry easy. The interior wood accents are hand-crafted by Mexican artisans.
The 89 Town Car is our youngest classic in the fleet at only 17 years of age, just squeaking into the classic category. This was the last production year of this body style, as the 1990's saw a big change to rounded body work, with less interior space.
Although the original owner is a professional corporate driver, this vehicle was used for personal pleasure only, accumulating about 5,000 miles per year. He maintained the vehicle in immaculate condition, always storing it in an indoor heated garage. When inspected in early 2004, there was not a spot of rust, and the paint gleamed like new!
The spacious interior is resplendent in medium blue, cushy leather seating, and matching lush carpet. An entertainment centre on the left side accommodates a Sony television and a side bar. A matching bar table, complete with ice bucket and glassware, graces the centre of the interior.
